Frösö Rogaining

Today i have been participating in a Rogaining race on Frösön.

The race is a smaller version than normal Rogaining competitions. You can choose to run or travel by bike around the Island. You have 4 hours to go and should collect as many points as possible. All the different markers on the map are worth different points. If you arrive late to the finishline (i.e after 4 hours) you loose points each minute.

I entered with my friend Simon, we planned a route and collected some expensive markers and left out some smaller.

We made it to the finish a couple of seconds before 4 hours. We finished on 3rd place and i won the lottery price. A stay for two at the new hotel in town. Supernice!

We really hope they will arrange a race during summer aswell.

Run for ten kilometers

Today i participated in an event where you run 10 kilometers and get a chance to win a car. The event is called ”Spring en mil vinn en bil” in Swedish. This is quite a big event with many participants, we entered via my work so we was around 40 participants from Tieto.

I ran (or should i say walked) this track last year at a time of 1 hour and 40 minutes. This year I should do it faster as I have been training running for almost 5 months. I have also been practicing this track 6 or 7 times the last couple of weeks in order to get the exercise and experience of outdoor running and be prepared of the track.

During the last exercise I ran this track at 1 hour and 8 minutes, so i set a goal of sub 1 hour for the event.

Tonight, during the event i ran at 59 minutes. I’m really proud of myself as i reached my goal, now I will continue to train an next year i will have a goal of sub 40min.

I did not win the car.

Tecknat medlemskap på gym

Jag har registrerat mig på ett gym! Gymmet har nyöppnat som granne till vårat hus. Som bilden visar fanns en hel del intresserade människor utanför för att registrera sig på öppningsdagen. Träningsintresset verkar vara högt!

Nu har jag inte har några ursäkter att inte träna. Nu är det dags att starta det ”nya” liv som jag har funderat på så länge men aldrig genomfört pga att jag arbetar mycket och är riktigt lat. Den här gången är det på riktigt och jag är motiverad till att försöka arbeta mindre och prioritera mig själv och min familj bättre. Träningen skall hjälpa mig att orka med familjerlivet som kommer kräva mer av mig fysiskt.

Det var riktigt trevligt med ren och fräsh utrustning / lokaler måste säga.
